The SEMINARS OF ADVANCED STUDIES OF MOLECULAR DESIGN AND BIOINFORMATICS (SEADIM) are a continuation of the IBEROAMERICAN SCHOOLS OF COMPUTATIONAL CHEMISTRY AND MOLECULAR DESIGN (Havana, 1996, 1998). They have been held by the Laboratory of Computational and Theoretical Chemistry (LQCT) in the University of Havana, Cuba, with the attendance of young researchers from iberoamerican countries. In 2009 it profiles as a scientific conference where the most recent advances in the theory, experiments and modeling on molecular interactions will be shown. In addition, intensive courses preceding the seminars will update the attendants about details of these advances.

SEADIM's must contribute to rise young researchers performance to more competitive levels, even when their countries or institutions of origin could be lacking of scientific instruments and economic development for this purpose.
