Abstract:This paper presents a software developed Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) algorithm for control of Photovoltaic (PV) DC-DC and DC-AC converters. The proposed algorithm was released with 8-bit microcontroller unit (MCU) and represents a part of a general control algorithm of the grid-connected PV inverter. The MPPT algorithm is obtained as a result of combining two known algorithms: perturb and observe (P&O) and constant voltage (CV).
