| Abstract: | A generalised method of surface engineering of nanoparticles in suspension has been reported using a novel strategy “Tri-phasic reverse Emulsion” or TPRE. In this method, the surface functionalisation of nanopaticles can be controlled by controlling the water concentration around the nanoparticles in suspension. As a consequence, the surface can be monolayered in nature and can be potential for the grafting DNA for magnetic bio-separation using hybridisation mechanism. |
